Objective

The objective of the NZIPIM Leadership Development Forum is to develop the leadership capability and skill sets of talented rural professionals that reside within our membership so that they can become more influential and provide greater leadership on many important issues impacting upon New Zealand's primary industry at a high level.

The underpinning skills and expertise of our members developed within their roles in working with farmers and growers on a day-to-day basis provides a strong platform to build and develop their leadership skills to make a meaningful impact in driving change across New Zealand's primary industries. To enable this to occur NZIPIM has developed the Leadership Development Forum.

Outcomes

The intended outcomes of the forum is to equip participants to:

  • Challenge and expand their view of what effective leadership is and what is required of them.
  • Identify specific actions that create more space for making a leadership contribution.
  • Convert the insights from a structured mini-feedback tool into a leadership development plan that leverages their strengths and addresses key development areas.
  • Develop coaching skills that maximise the performance and growth of others.
  • Actively and confidently extend themselves (personally and professionally) to develop and realise their leadership and governance potential.

Programme Content & Information

The Leadership Development Forums will be held over two days. The programme will be delivered by Peter Blyde of CATALYST4. For more information on Peter go to CATALYST4's website.
