Speaker

Mary van Andel, Chief Veterinary Officer (Biosecurity New Zealand), MPI
Experienced disease control epidemiologist who works successfully across cultures in challengjng circumstances. Skilled in quantitative epidemiology and relationship management at all levels. Track record of building engagement and delivering science communication to a variety of stakeholders from primary producers to ministers. Experience of emergency management and outbreak investigation as well as modelling, analysis and simulation exercises. Reliable people and quantitative skills with field experience, international epidemiology experience and experience in the public service.
