Please join us for breakfast and welcome guest speakers from Ravensdown, Ants Roberts and Mike White for an update on the "Pioneering to Precision" Primary Growth Partnership (PGP).

In conjunction with MPI, Ravensdown has entered into a Primary Growth Partnership aimed at developing a more comprehensive method of assessing soil nutrient status on hill country farms which will inform the fertiliser strategies outlined above. Ravensdown is working with its research partners Massey University and AgResearch to achieve these goals. The programme is in its fourth year of a scheduled seven years.

Alongside the PGP, Ravensdown is continuing to develop and fine tune its capability to improve the delivery of fertiliser from the air (IntellispreadTM). Through Ravensdown Aeroworks, IntellispreadTM is the new capability where fertiliser is be applied with a prescription map which details the boundaries of the farm and the areas where fertiliser should and shouldn't be applied and at what rate is controlled via a computer rather than a pilot operated lever.

Tom Fraser will explain the benefits to farmers of the advances made through the PGP with the financial benefits from focus farms utilising the technology.

This breakfast event is kindly sponsored by Ravensdown.
