The Healthy Rivers Wai Ora draft plan was signed off last week by Waikato Regional Council and later this year Council will be calling for submissions.
Members have asked questions about the Farm Environmental Plans many farmers will need to complete, the content of these environmental plans and requirements of rural professionals who will be completing these plans. We are fortunate at short notice, to be able to get 2 speakers who have been very involved in these Plans.
Alan Campbell - Team Leader, Land Management Advisory Services, with Waikato Regional Council will speak and answer questions you have on Farm Environmental Plans.
Phil Journeaux - Healthy Rivers Rural Professionals Stakeholder Group Member, will speak on some initial work undertaken completing draft Farm Environmental Plans.
