NZIPIM's Chief Executive resigns after 9 years at the helm

After nine impressive years in growing and developing the NZIPIM, Stephen Macaulay has tendered his resignation as Chief Executive to take on a new position as Chief Executive of the Wood Processors and Manufacturers Association. Stephen will be working through to the end of December to help ensure a smooth transition of management functions.

NZIPIM's Board would like to acknowledge and thank Stephen for his outstanding work and leadership of the Institute during his time as Chief Executive. Stephen has been instrumental in almost doubling the membership base since joining the Institute and expanding the range of high-quality professional development programmes and events targeted at expanding the knowledge base of members.

Over recent years Stephen has also had a significant role in building the standing and influence of the NZIPIM with key stakeholders across the primary industry in representing the membership on many key issues faced by rural professionals and their farming clientele.

The Board will shortly begin the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive to build on Stephen's contribution to NZIPIM. We look forward to having a new Chief Executive in place as we start our strategic review process in 2022, and we will keep you informed as we progress through this period.

Kind regards

Julian Gaffaney
NZIPIM President
