NIWA is supporting the advancement of New Zealand's growing aquaculture sector through the development of high value products of verifiable quality and sustainability. The team at The Northland Aquaculture Center has expertise in systems design, environmental interactions, new species development, disease identification, prevention and treatment, handling and harvesting, nutrition, reproduction and physiology.

The visit of the NIWA Northland Aquaculture Centre will be a full site tour with Andrew Forsythe, Chief Scientist. It will cover how the site works from the beach, the intake pipes and the eggs, what they feed the fish and of course the kingfish.

The tour of NIWA will finish at 3pm and we would like to invite you to join us for an end of year drink at the Ruakaka Tavern.
