Come and join us in a half-day refresher session!

This online event is targeted at participants of a previous modelling training workshop. If you have not attended one of these yet, we have two on offer in mid-November – see the NZIPIM Events page for details.

The refresher session will build on the foundational skills gained in the previous training, providing practical application of their modelling knowledge to a real-farm setting.

Participants will be asked to select a client’s farm and will be given mitigation scenarios to model in Farmax ahead of the online session. They will then bring the results to the session for analysis and discussion. The session will also include an update on the latest policy and He Waka Eke Noa developments.

Participants will leave with enhanced skills essential for helping farmers to:

• Estimate on-farm agricultural greenhouse gas emissions
• Identify options for managing/reducing those emissions
• Understand the greenhouse gas and economic impacts of the different options for the farm
• Model the greenhouse gas impact of those different options for the farm
• Develop a written greenhouse gas management plan as part of meeting legislative requirements

This is open to NZIPIM members and non-members who have attended a previous advanced training workshop run by the NZAGRC and AgFirst. Please do not register if you have not attended an NZAGRC/AgFirst modelling workshop previously. Two of those types of events will be run in mid-November, you can register here.
