Please join us for a webinar presentation by Bryan Smith from the Ministry for Environment (MfE) as he provides an overview of Government's Essential Freshwater Reforms.

During the webinar we will cover the following topics:

  • Brief overview of Government's Essential Freshwater Reforms
  • What are the key areas of focus by the Ministry for the Environment (MfE) in targeting on-farm environmental risks under the Reforms
  • Update of how Freshwater Farm Plans (FWFPs) will be certified under the Resource Management Act (part 9A) and associated timeframes
  • What types of discussions should rural professionals be having with their farming clients in the preparation of FWFPs
  • Key competency areas that advisers/planners should be looking to build and/or expand upon in assisting farmers complete FWFPs
  • Where does the National Policy statement for Indigenous Biodiversity fit alongside the reforms
  • How can MfE support the capability development of advisers/planners
