Field Trip: Native plants and cover crops under vines as an alternative to herbicides

Please join us for a joint field trip with Leaders of Tomorrow to hear from the Villa Maria team and collaborators talk about their SFF project (and a related trial with FruitFed Supplies) looking at alternatives to the herbicide strip. Our hosts are Paul Robinson from Villa Maria, and Jon Peet from FruitFed Supplies who will cover the following topics:

  • An outline of the project
  • The results and benefits that have come through the project (improved soil structure, decreased labour costs, increased biodiversity, etc)
  • Practicalities of scaling up the project and how this could apply to other industries

See the article covered by NZ Herald.

Please join us after the event for a social get together and networking at Roosters.
