Join us for a breakfast event as we welcome Cameron Bagrie of Bagrie Economics (Ex ANZ Chief Economist) and Brian Peacocke of the Real Estate Institute to speak at our first event of the year.

Cameron Bagrie will present on:

  • What are the main reasons for the Reserve Bank to increase bank capital levels and how do we compare internationally;
  • Likely changes Reserve Bank are looking to implement, and what does this looks like for rural lending;
  • How is the general financial health of the agricultural sectors and lending to farming enterprises, and are commercial banks looking to reduce their exposure to the Agri sector and if so why;
  • Update on the Coronavirus and the impact it is having on the agri sector; and
  • What types of discussions should rural professionals be having with their farming clients on debt financing.

Brian Peacocke will present on:

  • Trends in rural land values over time;
  • What buyers and sellers are saying about the rural land market at the moment;
  • Why are farmers selling their properties and has this changed over time
