NZIPIM Canterbury Branch, in conjunction with Lincoln University, would like to invite you to attend its annual student field day.

The focus of the field day is twofold:

  1. Review the proposed changes considered three years ago on Tim and Lucy Cookson's property as it transitioned to irrigation, with a focus on; what actually happened, key learnings to take away from the project, and what's next for the farm.
  2. There will be an opportunity for rural professionals and Lincoln students to interact and learn from each other. Students will have the opportunity to engage with rural professionals and explore such questions of "with the wisdom of hindsight and experience, what advice would they give in making the transition from student life to embarking on and growing a successful career as a rural professional".

The field day will be held at the Cookson's farm located at Pinewoods, 169 Leaches Road, Hororata. The entrance will be signposted on the roadside approximately 1.6 km from the timber mill.
