Topics covered to include:

  • Farm forestry, reasons for the change and what has been achieved? - Graeme Smith
  • Update on harvest returns and costs - Malcolm MacKenzie, Farm Forester.
  • Carbon Credits and how the Farm Forestry Association can help? - John Simmons, Waikato Farm Forestry Association.
  • Where does forestry fit within Healthy Rivers? - Grant Blackie, Waikato Region Council
  • How does a farmer start diversifying into forestry and key decision points? - John-Paul Praat, Director Groundtruth & NZIPIM member.

Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for walking on an operational Dairy Farm. Please note this is a joint event with Members of the Waikato Branch of the Farm Forestry Association.
