Join us to learn more about good governance and emerging trends in business and industry structures from three local experts.

  • Governance - Justine Kidd, CEO, Milk NZ Company (Pengxin and Purata farms) will speak on governance essentials for rural professionals.
  • Business Structures - Rick Cranswick, Crowe Horwath, will discuss how primary industry and business structures are evolving.
  • "Not so Fast" - 2016 Nuffield Scholar, Tom Skerman will present the findings of his recent scholarship report on Agri-SME governance. Tom cautions that traditional corporate governance methodology risks being over-hyped and oversold to some segments of the primary sector, in particular when management is fundamentally inseparable from ownership. In these cases, Tom will touch on alternate ways to approach governance.

There will be an opportunity for rural professionals to network after the event (with a cash bar).
