How can you play a part in the largest extension rollout that has ever taken place for red meat farmers in New Zealand? How will this affect your business? Come along and find out more.

The Central Districts branch invite you to join us for breakfast as representatives involved in Red Meat Profit Partnership (RMPP) discuss the national rollout of a new extension system and the critical role that rural professionals will play in ensuring this is a success. This includes new professional development opportunities for some rural professionals which will be discussed as well as a chance to talk about how this rollout could enhance your businesses. If you deal with any sheep and beef farming clients in your job, it will be worth attending to find out more about RMPP's plans.

Representatives from RMPP and partner organisations will be speaking about their involvement in the national rollout as well as the wider programme with a Q & A session at the end.

The challenge: The uptake of knowledge and its application in sheep and beef farms is hugely variable and there is a widening profit gap between top performers and the mid-tier.

The objective: A number of trials are being run to evaluate a range of different extension approaches with farmers and meat processors. RMPP now have enough firm results that they have created a new extension programme which heavily involves rural professionals as critical elements to its success.

Michael Smith (RMPP General Manager), Denise Bewsell (Extension Specialist), Byron Taylor (Rabobank) and Bryce Devane (ANZ) will be speaking about their involvement in this project as well as the wider programme with a Q & A session at the end.

Cost including cooked buffet breakfast: Members $25, Non Members $35
