In 2017 I was awarded a Winston Churchill Memorial Fellowship Trust. This allowed me to travel to the United States, Canada and Europe to meet with thought leaders, academics and industry representatives to discuss my research topic 'Positioning New Zealand's primary industry to take advantage of opportunities presented with new and emerging technologies occurring in the production and marketing of food products'.
