The NZIPIM Canterbury Branch, in conjunction with Lincoln University, invite you to attend its annual student field day. The topic of the field day is "Using Technology To Drive Profit", and will include presentations based around farming business cases.

Our speakers will present business cases on their respective areas of expertise and review the work undertaken and provide an expanded understanding the outputs achieved. Presentations include:

  • Carrfields Irrigation, in conjunction with Trimble Agriculture, will discuss recent developments in irrigation technology, satellite imagery and paddock recording
  • Smart Ag Solutions will discuss on-the-go pH soil mapping
  • Agrioptics will discuss Electromagnetic (EM) soil mapping

The field day will be held at David and Sandra Wrights farm "Ballencrief" on Marrs Road, Methven (Directions here). The entrance will be signposted on the roadside, approximately 2km up Marrs Road from the intersection with Barkers Road.
